HOW TO USE SIGNAL CROSS REFERENCE IN ZUKEN E3 SERIES

 CROSS REFERENCE

Signal Cross Reference is that which is used in different or same pages to show from where the signal is coming and where is the connection is going.

How to use signal cross reference

  •  To give the signal cross reference at first we have to create more than one connection line   in 2 different pages and have to go to its connection properties and then give both of   them   same value. Then we have to click on miscellaneous tab in the project mode and   then   double click on misc_signal ,cross reference folder and have to chose either   source_*/   source_auto/source_direct for the source signal.
  •  Then we have to select destination_*/destination_auto/destination_direct any one of them   and    have to place that in the preferred location.
  •  Remember one thing in case of Star(*) or direct connection we have to give the sheet   reference in these two cases. And in case of auto connection we have not to give any   sheet reference as it automatically selects and show its counter part.

Using different kind of signal cross reference symbols

Sheet references can be generated from sheet to sheet within E³.series. Special symbols are available for this. There are four different types of symbols contained in the Signal Reference folder in the Database Window Misc tab. For every "Source Symbol", there exists a corresponding "Destination Symbol”. Together with the same signal, the cross references will be generated from sheet to sheet.

  • ·    SOURCE_* / DESTINATION_* (star):-

A source symbol can refer to several destination symbols. The corresponding signals/reference symbols will be "manually" defined under Sheet References in the context menu.

  • ·   SOURCE_DIRECT /DESTINATION_DIRECT (Point-to-Point):-

For every source symbol, there is exactly one destination symbol. The
destination will be "manually” assigned. destination will be "manually” assigned.

  • ·   SOURCE_AUTO / DESTINATION_AUTO (automatic):-

This is a special type of Point-to-Point Connection. Cross-references will be written and modified automatically, for example, when a sheet is  inserted. This is used if the signal is looped.

  •     SOURCE_*_AUTO / DESTINATION_*_AUTO (automatic):

One source symbol can refer to several destination symbols. The corresponding signal and reference symbols will be entered automatically.
